राज्य के क्रिकेट प्रेमियों और क्रिकेट खिलाड़ियों के लिए अच्छी खबर है। सीएयू प्रदेश में क्रिकेट को बढ़ावा देने के लिए इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग की तर्ज पर टी-20 क्रिकेट लीग का आयोजन करने जा रही है, जिसका नाम उत्तराखंड प्रीमियर लीग होगा। इस लीग का आयोजन सीनियर पुरुष और महिला वर्ग में कराया जाएगा। खास बात यह है कि इस लीग में खिलाड़ियों के प्रदर्शन के आधार पर ही बीसीसीआइ की आगामी प्रतियोगिताओं के लिए टीमों का चयन किया जाएगा।
क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन आफ उत्तराखंड इस लीग का आयोजन टीसीएम स्पोर्ट्स मैनेजमेंट कंपनी के सहयोग से करेगी। इस लीग में राज्य के सभी 13 जिलों से एक एक टीम प्रतिभाग करेगी। लीग का आयोजन इसी वर्ष सितंबर में होने की संभावना है। इसका सजीव प्रसारण भी किया जाएगा। इसके लिए क्रिकेट मैच का सजीव प्रसारण करने वाले विभिन्न प्लेटफार्म से बातचीत चल रही है। दरअसल, सीएयू प्रदेश में क्रिकेट गतिविधियों को बेहतर तरीके से संचालित करने के लिए टीसीएम स्पोर्ट्स मैनेजमेंट कंपनी से समझौता करने जा रही है।
इसको लेकर टीसीएम और सीएयू के अधिकारियों के बीच कई दौर की वार्ता भी हो चुकी है। प्रदेश में क्रिकेट को बढ़ावा देने के लिए टीसीएम ने सीएयू को अलग अलग आयु वर्ग में प्रतियोगिताएं आयोजित कराने के प्रस्ताव दिए हैं। इसमें सीनियर पुरुष व महिला वर्ग के लिए टी-20, अंडर-23 आयु वर्ग के लिए दो दिवसीय और जूनियर वर्ग के लिए तीन या चार दिवसीय मैच की प्रतियोगिता कराने का प्रस्ताव शामिल है। इन प्रतियोगिताओं में हर जिले की टीम को प्रतिनिधित्व दिया जाएगा। प्रतियोगिताओं के वित्तीय प्रबंधन और सफल संचालन के लिए फैनकोड, ड्रीम इलेवन समेत अन्य प्रमुख कंपनियों से स्पांसरशिप मिलेगी।
सीएयू के सचिव महिम वर्मा ने बताया कि टीसीएम स्पोर्ट्स मैनेजमेंट कंपनी के सदस्यों के साथ प्रदेश में क्रिकेट गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा देने को लेकर वार्ता हुई है। एसोसिएशन कंपनी के प्रस्तावों पर विमर्श कर रही है। सबसे पहले सीनियर पुरुष व महिला वर्ग में टी-20 लीग कराने की तैयारी है। जल्द ही उत्तराखंड प्रीमियर लीग का खाका तैयार कर लिया जाएगा। बंगाल, पुडुचेरी और बड़ौदा में क्रिकेट लीग करा चुकी है।
