उधमसिंह नगर जिले की सीमांत कोतवाली खटीमा पुलिस को गोकशी के खिलाफ मिली बड़ी सफलता हाथ लगी है। खटीमा पुलिस ने 80 किलो गौ मांस के साथ 5 गोकशी के आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया है। पकड़े गए सभी आरोपियों के खिलाफ पुलिस ने गोवंश पशु संरक्षण अधिनियम 2007 के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज कर जेल भेजा।
उधमसिंह नगर की सीमांत कोतवाली खटीमा पुलिस को विगत काफी समय से क्षेत्र में अवैध रूप से गोकशी करने की सूचनाएं मिल रही थी। खटीमा पुलिस ने मुखबिर की सूचना पर देर रात खटीमा गोटिया में छापेमारी कर पांच गौकशी कर रहे आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया है, साथ ही उनके पास से 80 किलो गौ मांस व काटने के औजार बरामद किए हैं। पुलिस ने गोकशी के आरोप में पकड़े गए सभी पांच आरोपियों के खिलाफ गोवंश पशु संरक्षण अधिनियम 2007 के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज किया है।
साथ ही पुलिस द्वारा पकड़े गए पांचों आरोपियों को जेल भेजा जा रहा है। वही पुलिस के अधिकारियों का कहना है कि पकड़े गए आरोपियों के खिलाफ पुलिस द्वारा सख्त कार्रवाई अमल में लाई जा रही है साथ ही क्षेत्र में किसी भी प्रकार के गोवंशिय पशु का अवैध रूप से वध नहीं होने दिया जाएगा।
