उत्तराखंड की पंचम विधानसभा का प्रथम सत्र बुधवार को अनिश्चितकाल के लिए स्थगित हो गया है। दरअसल, सरकार ने 31 मार्च तक तीन दिवसीय सत्र तय किया था। लेकिन विधायी कामकाज ना होने की वजह से 21 हजार करोड़ से ज्यादा का उत्तराखंड विनियोग लेखानुदान विधेयक पारित करने के बाद ही सत्र संपन्न हो गया। ऐसे में अब आगामी होने वाले बजट सत्र को उत्तराखंड राज्य सरकार गैरसैंण में कराने की बात कह रही है। दरअसल, इससे पहले मार्च 2021 में तत्कालीन मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत के कार्यकाल में बजट सत्र गैरसैंण में आहूत हुआ था।

उसके बाद करीब एक साल का वक्त हो गया है लेकिन एक भी विधानसभा सत्र गैरसैंण में नहीं हुआ। ऐसे में नवनिर्वाचित सरकार के गठन के बाद चर्चाएं थी कि पहला सत्र गैरसैंण में कराया जा सकता है। लेकिन यह विधानसभा सत्र देहरादून में ही किया गया। तो वहीं, मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने बताया कि सत्र चुनाव के बाद हुआ था और 31 मार्च से पहले बजट पारित होने की अनिवार्यता थी जिसके चलते देहरादून में विधानसभा सत्र किया गया लेकिन आने वाले समय में गैरसैंण में भी विधानसभा सत्र आहूत की जाएगी।
